Short answer

TVT Capital reviews are thin: we could not locate a BBB profile, and its Trustpilot page shows 7 reviews and a 2.5 score, with complaints about high rates, no prepayment discount and collection notices. TVT Capital LLC is a Delaware company based in Roslyn, New York, with offices at 1407 Broadway in Manhattan, that sells merchant cash advances and, according to its website, bridge and second-lien loans. A federal court in 2017 treated three of its advances as purchases of receivables, not loans. Two different companies with TVT in their names were Yellowstone Capital subsidiaries in the New York Attorney General's 2024 case; the records we read do not name TVT Capital LLC there. If the debits no longer fit your revenue, the reconciliation clause in your agreement decides your options.

This page summarizes the public record as of October 29, 2026: Trustpilot, New York corporation records, the New York Attorney General's Yellowstone case, California's and Connecticut's regulator records, federal docket listings, court decisions and the company's website. Finding no regulator action naming TVT Capital LLC is not proof that none exists.

TVT Capital LLC and the other TVT names

TVT Capital LLC is a Delaware company formed on 4/9/2008 that registered in New York on 11/14/2008 (DOS ID 3743317), with a Roslyn, New York address on file. Its website gives its headquarters as 1407 Broadway, New York, NY 10018, says the company was "founded in 2012," and says it is "owned and operated by TVT Capital LLC. or a subsidiary thereof." Its terms of use say payments "must be made payable to Vantiff LLC." In the 2015 and 2016 advances described in court, a company then called Colonial Funding Network, now Kapitus Servicing, was TVT's servicing provider and sued on its behalf.

Check the exact name on your agreement, because several companies share the letters:

TVT Cap Fund LLC

(New York, 2016) and TVT Capital HR, LLC (New York, 2018) were named by the Attorney General as "Yellowstone Subsidiar[ies]" and are bound by the January 2025 Yellowstone consent judgment, which cancelled the merchant debts it covers and barred those companies from the merchant cash advance business. The Attorney General's filings do not name TVT Capital LLC. See our Yellowstone Capital page.

TVT Capital Funding LLC

(New York, 2019) and TVT Capital Holdings LLC (New York, 2020) are separate New York registrations.

TVT Direct Funding, LLC

(Delaware, 2018; Greenwich, Connecticut address) and TVT Capital Source LLC appear in federal court records.

We found no record showing who owns these companies or how, if at all, they relate to TVT Capital LLC. Our older pages use the short name: the TVT review, sued by TVT and TVT settlement pages.

What TVT Capital sells

The website publishes no factor rates, fees or payment schedule. What it does say:

Advances.

"Cash flow and merchant advance financing," described as letting a business "access the value of your future sales in exchange for cash today."

Loans.

Bridge loans and "first and second lien loans" from "$100K to $25M," with "terms that range from 3 to 24 months."

Requirements.

"3+ months in business," "No minimum credit score" and "$75K per month revenue."

Size.

Advances from "$25,000.00 to $25,000,000.00" on one page and "$20,000.00 to $5,000,000.00" on another.

Brokers.

It calls itself "the nation's premier ISO platform for middle market business advances."

The terms come from court records, not the website. In the 2015 and 2016 advances described in a federal decision, a merchant sold $898,500 of future receipts for $600,000 across three agreements, with 15% of daily receipts collected through set daily debits of $2,439 and $2,915, a personal guaranty from the owner and a reconciliation clause. Your contract controls.

TVT Capital reviews and complaints

Trustpilot. The profile has been claimed since November 2021 and has had no reviews in the last 12 months. The three one-star reviews say rates were very high with no prepayment discount (March 2022, the one the company answered by asking the reviewer to email), call the company predatory (January 2024), and say it shared the reviewer's financial details and sent collection notices to people at the reviewer's company who had nothing to do with the advance (December 2024). The three five-star reviews we could read are all from April 2022; two were marked as invited, and two came from brokers. Reviews are reported by the people who post them and are not verified.

BBB. We could not locate a BBB profile under the TVT Capital name. BBB's own site search also misses some profiles we know exist, so this is not proof that none exists.

With so few reviews, the court record says more about how TVT's advances work than the star ratings do. The two themes that do appear, payoff terms and how collection notices are sent, are worth settling in writing before you sign.

The regulatory record

We found no regulator action naming TVT Capital LLC. California's Department of Financial Protection and Innovation site search returns nothing for "TVT," and Connecticut's October 6, 2026 list of registered commercial financing providers and brokers has no entry with TVT in the name; we did not check whether an exemption applies.

The New York Attorney General's March 2024 petition against Yellowstone Capital named TVT Cap Fund LLC and TVT Capital HR, LLC as respondents. In a consent order and judgment filed January 16, 2025, without admitting any fact or violation of law, the Yellowstone entities agreed to cancel outstanding merchant debts the settling respondents calculated at $534,552,724.00, and they are "permanently barred from engaging in any Merchant Cash Advance business." If your agreement names one of those two companies, that settlement may apply to you; if it names TVT Capital LLC, the records we read do not say it does.

The court record

Federal docket listings show 5 cases naming TVT Capital, LLC as a defendant from 2019 to 2025, plus 6 naming TVT Direct Funding LLC or TVT Capital Source LLC. Allegations are not findings, and the listings do not show the terms of any settlement. If you have been served, our TVT lawsuit page covers response options.

The 2017 federal decision. In Colonial Funding Network, Inc. v. Epazz, Inc., 252 F. Supp. 3d 274 (S.D.N.Y. 2017), an Illinois company argued that its three TVT agreements were criminally usurious loans. The court dismissed those counterclaims on May 9, 2017, holding that "The Agreements are not loans because Epazz's payment obligation is contingent." It found the argument "contradicted by the reconciliation provisions," noted that "No allegation is made that TVT ever denied Epazz's request to reconcile," and said "TVT bears the risk that sales will decline or cease, because failure to generate receipts is not an event of default." According to a 2023 New York appellate decision, the servicer settled with the merchant in June 2017.

A motion to vacate a confession of judgment denied. In TVT Capital, LLC v Legend Ventures (Fourth Department, November 8, 2019), the appeals court affirmed a July 18, 2018 Ontario County order that denied the defendants' motion to vacate a confession of judgment. A 2025 Second Department decision cites the case for the point that a challenge raising issues of fact belongs in a separate lawsuit, not a motion.

Cases naming TVT Capital, LLC as a defendant:

  • Adv. No. 19-01324 (Bankr. D. Colo.), filed 10/24/2019 by an individual: dismissed 9/1/2020.
  • No. 1:21-cv-06701 (S.D.N.Y.), filed 8/9/2021 by four individuals under the Fair Labor Standards Act: settlement approved 5/13/2022; dismissed with prejudice 5/31/2022.
  • Adv. No. 23-01236 (Bankr. S.D. Fla.), filed 11/3/2023 by a Chapter 7 trustee: dismissed 4/29/2024.
  • YZ Enterprise Inc. v. TVT Capital, LLC, Adv. No. 24-03048 (Bankr. N.D. Ohio), filed 8/16/2024: default entered, default judgment entry 10/21/2024; closed 11/12/2024.
  • Adv. No. 25-00030 (Bankr. D. Md.), filed 1/31/2025 by an individual: default entered 3/26/2025; judgment 5/16/2025.

Other TVT-named companies in federal court. TVT Capital Source LLC is a defendant in a 2025 Delaware bankruptcy suit in which a group of debtors seeks to recover payments as preferences or fraudulent transfers, and one of several creditors claiming $1,057,611.20 in a 2026 North Dakota interpleader case. TVT Direct Funding LLC was a party to a 2022 Utah bankruptcy case and a 2023 Utah district court case. We do not know how these companies relate to TVT Capital LLC.

Who TVT Capital fits

TVT says it works with businesses that have at least three months in business and $75,000 a month in revenue, with no minimum credit score, and it says it works through brokers, which the industry calls ISOs. That profile fits a business that needs money fast and can carry a fixed daily debit. Before you sign, ask in writing for the total payback, the daily amount, the fees, whether there is any prepayment discount, whether there is a confession of judgment or personal guaranty, and which TVT company is the funder. The MCA calculator converts a factor rate into a comparable cost; see also factor rate vs. APR and the clauses to read in an MCA agreement.

If the payments are more than your business can carry

  1. Collect every agreement, renewal and settlement you signed with any TVT company, with the payment history for each, and note the exact company name and who the payments go to.
  2. Request reconciliation in writing with your bank statements if revenue has dropped; the 2017 decision relied on that clause. Our explainer on MCA reconciliation covers what to send.
  3. Blocking debits or moving your account can be treated as a default under many agreements; check your contract before acting. See stopping daily MCA payments.
  4. If your agreement names TVT Cap Fund LLC or TVT Capital HR, LLC, check whether the Yellowstone settlement cancelled it before you pay anything more.
  5. If you signed a confession of judgment, read whether MCA companies can sue you; in TVT's own 2019 case, a New York court refused to vacate one on a motion.
  6. If you are weighing bankruptcy, read MCA settlement vs. bankruptcy first.

TVT Capital reviews: common questions

Is TVT Capital part of Yellowstone Capital?

The records we read do not say so. The New York Attorney General named TVT Cap Fund LLC and TVT Capital HR, LLC as Yellowstone subsidiaries, but not TVT Capital LLC, and we found no record of an ownership link between them. Check the exact company name on your agreement.

Is TVT Capital a merchant cash advance company?

Yes. Its website offers merchant cash advances along with bridge and second-lien loans, and a 2017 federal decision describes three merchant cash advance agreements in which TVT bought $898,500 of a business's future receipts for $600,000.

Does TVT Capital have a BBB rating?

We could not locate a BBB profile under the TVT Capital name. Its Trustpilot profile shows a 2.5 score across 7 reviews, three of them one-star.

Has TVT Capital been sued?

Yes. Federal docket listings show 5 cases naming TVT Capital, LLC as a defendant from 2019 to 2025, four of them in bankruptcy courts and one a wage case that settled in 2022. In its own suits, a federal court in 2017 dismissed a merchant's usury counterclaims and a New York appeals court in 2019 affirmed the denial of a motion to vacate a confession of judgment.

Did the Yellowstone settlement cancel TVT Capital advances?

It covered TVT Cap Fund LLC and TVT Capital HR, LLC, among the Yellowstone entities and their affiliates. The records we read do not say it covers advances from TVT Capital LLC, so check the funder's name on your agreement.

What should I do if I can't afford my TVT Capital payments?

Gather your agreements and payment history, check for a guaranty, a confession of judgment and the reconciliation clause, and request any adjustment in writing. Blocking debits or moving your account can be treated as a default under many agreements; check your contract before acting. Then decide who negotiates.
