Short answer

Specialty Capital, LLC is a Great Neck, New York company that offers small businesses revenue-based financing with fixed daily, weekly or bi-weekly payments, and a draw product it calls Specialty Flex. Its public ratings are strong: the BBB has given it an A+ and accreditation since 10/12/2021 with one complaint in three years, and Trustpilot shows 4.9 on 486 reviews. The court record tells a second story: in 2025 and 2026, at least four debtors in bankruptcy filed adversary proceedings naming Specialty Capital as the defendant, and its name appears in more than two dozen federal bankruptcy dockets. If you have a Specialty Capital agreement and the fixed payments no longer fit your revenue, the terms of that agreement decide your options.

This page summarizes what the public record shows as of October 22, 2026. The rating, accreditation, dates, management and complaint count were read directly from the company's Better Business Bureau profile and complaints page. The court records come from federal docket listings on CourtListener. Product terms come from the company's own website. We did not find a state or federal regulator action against the company in our searches, which is not proof that none exists.

What Specialty Capital sells

The company describes itself as a "CaaS (Capital as a Service) company" and a revenue-based finance provider, led by founder and CEO Boris Kalendarev. Its website lists two products:

Revenue Based Financing.

Your revenue sets the amount you qualify for; you receive the full amount upfront and repay "a fixed total amount through predictable, scheduled payments," daily, weekly or bi-weekly. The company says you "don't pay a fluctuating percentage of your revenue each month." Its stated requirements are at least 6 months in business, $10,000 or more in monthly revenue, a U.S. business bank account and no open bankruptcies.

Specialty Flex.

A draw product: you get a limit, draw what you need and repay what you use, with an early payment discount schedule on every draw. It requires at least 18 months in business and $25,000 in monthly revenue.

The site advertises funding "in as little as 24 hours," early payment discounts and no prepayment penalties. It says the company has worked with "over 15,000 small businesses"; another line on the home page says "Trusted by 10,000+ Businesses." These are the company's figures, and they do not match each other. We have not verified them.

One point deserves attention. Because payments are fixed, they do not fall automatically when your sales fall, the way a percentage-of-receivables remittance would. The company's site describes the product inconsistently: a menu line says 'no fixed payments,' while the product page says payments are fixed. The agreement controls. Whether your agreement allows any adjustment is a question for the contract itself. Our explainer on MCA reconciliation covers what to look for.

The court record

A bankruptcy adversary proceeding is a lawsuit inside a bankruptcy case. When a small business files for bankruptcy, the debtor or the trustee can sue a funder in that court, often to recover payments made shortly before the filing or to challenge the funder's claim. Federal docket listings show four adversary proceedings naming Specialty Capital as the defendant:

Porky's, LLC v. Specialty Capital, LLC

, Adv. No. 26-02113, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Pennsylvania, filed October 12, 2026.

Goolsby v. Specialty Capital

, Adv. No. 26-01002, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Georgia, filed February 9, 2026.

Brewer's Lawn Care and Property Preservation v. Specialty Capital, LLC

, Adv. No. 25-05049, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Tennessee, filed September 19, 2025.

ProSource Machinery, LLC v. Specialty Capital, LLC

, Adv. No. 25-01127, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Colorado, filed April 15, 2025.

The listings do not state the claims, and we have not read the complaints, so we cannot tell you what each debtor alleged or how any of the cases ended. Allegations are not findings.

A CourtListener search finds "Specialty Capital LLC" in the text of 27 federal dockets, including those suits. Most are bankruptcy cases filed by small businesses in 2025 and 2026, including a plumbing company in Texas, an HVAC contractor in South Carolina, a construction company in Texas, a landscape design firm in Arizona and an auction house in New York. In bankruptcy filings a funder usually appears as a listed creditor. The pattern shows that Specialty Capital advances turn up in a meaningful number of small business bankruptcies; it does not show wrongdoing.

Who Specialty Capital fits

The stated requirements, six months in business and $10,000 a month in revenue, put Specialty Capital within reach of young and small businesses. Fixed payments make the cost easy to read, which is a real advantage, but they also make the payment harder to carry in a slow month. Before you sign, compare the total payback with the cash you will receive, ask how the early payment discount is calculated, and ask in writing whether the payment can be adjusted if revenue drops.

If the payments are more than your business can carry

  1. Collect every agreement and renewal you signed with Specialty Capital, including any Specialty Flex draws, and the payment history for each.
  2. Check for a personal guaranty, an adjustment or reconciliation clause, and a confession of judgment.
  3. Ask in writing for a payment adjustment if your agreement provides one.
  4. Blocking debits or moving your account can be treated as a default under many agreements; check your contract before acting. Our guide on stopping daily MCA payments explains the risks.
  5. If you are weighing bankruptcy, read MCA settlement vs. bankruptcy first. Several of the cases above show how funders end up in bankruptcy court.
