Short answer

Approved Funding Group reviews are thin on every platform we checked. Approved Funding Group LLC is a Deerfield Beach, Florida business funding company with an A plus rating from the Better Business Bureau, no BBB accreditation, 0 complaints in the last three years and a single one star BBB review. We found no lawsuits naming it, so the most useful record is the company's own website, which advertises revenue-based financing from $15,000 to $650,000 and publishes its own average rate figures. Before you rely on any review, confirm you are looking at the right company: Approved Funding Group is not the New Jersey mortgage lender Approved Funding Corp., and it is not the New York funding marketplace Approvd.

This page summarizes what the public record shows as of October 21, 2026. The rating, accreditation status, dates, contacts and complaint count were read directly from the company's Better Business Bureau profile. Product terms and rate statements come from the company's own website and privacy policy. State law summaries come from the official statute text. Anything that comes from a review is labelled as a review and has not been verified.

First, which Approved Funding is on your paperwork

Three similarly named companies show up when business owners search for this name, and their records should not be mixed together.

Approved Funding Group LLC

, Deerfield Beach, Florida. This is the business funding company this page covers. Its website is approvedfundinggroup.com.

Approved Funding Corp.

, River Edge, New Jersey. This is a mortgage company. The Indiana Department of Financial Institutions lists it as a mortgage lender, license number 31672, issued 07/29/2016, at 41 Grand Avenue, River Edge. Reviews of a home loan experience with this company have nothing to do with a business advance.

Approvd LLC

, New York. Its Trustpilot profile lists an address at 589 8th Avenue in Manhattan and describes it as a marketplace in business funding that connects businesses with a network of lenders. It is a separate company with a different name.

The entity named in the first paragraph of your agreement, and the name that appears on your bank statement next to the debit, is the one that governs. If the agreement names a funder other than Approved Funding Group LLC, that funder is the company you owe, and its own record is the one to check.

What the company says it sells

The company's home page advertises small business funding from $15,000 up to $650,000. It describes the product as revenue-based financing: upfront capital provided in return for a fixed amount of the business's future revenue. That is the same structure as a merchant cash advance: the funder buys a fixed amount of future revenue and collects it through scheduled debits.

Other statements on the page:

  • Pre-approval in minutes, and most deals fund within 24 hours once there is a firm approval and agreed terms.
  • Personal credit is described as not a major factor. The application form asks for a credit range, time in business and last month's sales, and asks whether you would like information on credit repair.
  • Funding terms are said to range from 12 months to 10 years, with final terms and fees set after underwriting.
  • A footnote says the lowest rates are limited to the strongest borrowers, and that its other products carry an average rate of 25 percent simple interest and 32 percent APR. The page says the simple interest figure is calculated from total repayments over 52 weeks.
  • The application consent language authorizes calls and texts by automated dialer or pre-recorded voice, including to numbers on a do not call list.

The privacy policy, effective 01/01/2026, names Approved Funding Group LLC as the operator of the site and says the company does not sell personal information.

Our reading of the rate statement: an average figure tells you nothing about your own deal. A 25 percent simple cost spread over 52 weeks is a very different product from the same dollar cost collected in 16 weeks of daily debits, and the annualized rate on the second is far higher. The only numbers that matter are the ones in your contract.

What reviewers report

The BBB profile has one customer review, posted July 18, 2025 by a reviewer identified as Patrick W., rated one star. The reviewer called the company dishonest and wrote that the deal carried 336 percent interest, plus fees deducted from the loan. The BBB shows no business response. This is a single unverified review. We have not seen the reviewer's agreement and cannot say how the figure was calculated.

The gap between that figure and the website's 32 percent average APR is not necessarily a contradiction. Short-term revenue-based financing collected by daily or weekly debit can produce a very high annualized rate even when the total cost looks modest in dollars. It does show why a merchant should calculate the rate on their own agreement rather than rely on an advertised average.

Zero BBB complaints over a file open since 3/1/2021 means no one has used the BBB's formal complaint process in the last three years. It does not tell you what the money costs or what happens when a merchant falls behind. Business owners in revenue-based financing rarely file BBB complaints. When a dispute comes, it is usually handled through the contract and, if it escalates, in court.

The court record

A search of the CourtListener federal docket index on October 21, 2026 returned no case with Approved Funding Group LLC as a party, and our web searches for state court filings found none either. The search's only hit is a service list: Approved Funding Group LLC, at 10 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach, appears among the many parties mailed notice in the 2023 Chapter 15 case of NextPoint Financial Inc. in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (case 23-10983). Being mailed notice does not make a company a party, and the filing says nothing about its business. We did not search every state court docket, so this is a statement about what we found, not a guarantee that no case exists. If you have been served with papers, the caption on those papers will tell you which company is suing and in which court.

No state or federal enforcement action against Approved Funding Group LLC turned up in the sources we checked.

Florida's disclosure law, and who it covers

Florida's Commercial Financing Disclosure Law applies to commercial financing transactions consummated on or after January 1, 2024. For covered deals, the provider must give a written disclosure at or before signing that states:

  • the total amount of funds provided under the agreement;
  • the amount actually disbursed, if fees, prior balances or third party payments reduce it;
  • the total amount to be paid back to the provider;
  • the total dollar cost, which is the difference between the two;
  • the manner, frequency and amount of each payment, or how variable payments are calculated; and
  • whether there are costs or discounts tied to paying early.

The law does not apply to transactions over $500,000, to deals secured by real property, or to a provider that closes no more than five commercial financing transactions in Florida in a 12-month period, among other exclusions. It also sets rules for brokers: a broker may not collect an advance fee from a business for broker services, and may not make false or misleading representations in offering its services. Unlike New York, Florida's statute does not require an APR on the disclosure, which is why the dollar figures matter so much.

If your business is in Florida and your agreement was signed on or after January 1, 2024, look for that disclosure in your file. If your business is run from New York, that state's rule at 23 NYCRR Part 600 may also apply and requires an estimated APR on sales-based financing offers of $2,500,000 or less. Whether either law applies to your deal depends on the facts, and that is a question for counsel.

What to establish from your own paperwork

  • The exact company named as the funder. Approved Funding Group LLC is not Approved Funding Corp. and is not Approvd.
  • The purchased amount, the total payback, the payment amount and frequency, and the balance still outstanding, taken from the payment history.
  • Any fees taken out before the money reached your account, so you know the true amount disbursed.
  • Whether a personal guaranty was signed, and which state's courts the agreement names for disputes.
  • Whether the agreement has a reconciliation clause that lets you ask for lower payments when revenue drops, and what documents it requires.
  • Whether a UCC financing statement was filed against the business, which you can check with the secured transaction filing office in your state.
  • For a Florida business, whether the state disclosure is in the file. For a New York business, whether the APR disclosure is.

Do not stop the debits or move the operating account on your own. Under most agreements of this kind either step is defined as a default, and it is the event most likely to turn a payment problem into a lawsuit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Approved Funding Group BBB accredited?

No. The BBB profile for Approved Funding Group LLC shows an A plus rating but states that the business is not BBB accredited.

How many complaints does Approved Funding Group have?

The BBB shows 0 complaints filed in the last three years and one customer review, rated one star, posted July 18, 2025.

Is Approved Funding Group the same as Approved Funding mortgage?

No. Approved Funding Group LLC is a business funding company in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Approved Funding Corp. is a mortgage lender based in River Edge, New Jersey. Mortgage reviews do not describe the business funding company.

What does Approved Funding Group offer?

Its website advertises revenue-based financing from $15,000 to $650,000, with terms it says range from 12 months to 10 years and an average of 25 percent simple interest and 32 percent APR on its other products. Final terms are set after underwriting.

Has Approved Funding Group been sued?

We found no federal case naming Approved Funding Group LLC as a party in the CourtListener index; its only appearance there is on a notice mailing list in another company's bankruptcy. Our web searches found no state court filings. That is not proof that none exist, and a court search by the company's exact name is the way to confirm.

What should I do if the payments are unaffordable?

Confirm the funder named in the agreement, the balance outstanding, the reconciliation clause, the guaranty and any UCC filing, and check for the disclosure your state requires. Do not block the debits or change banks on your own. Then decide who negotiates for you.

If the payments are the problem

If an Approved Funding Group debit is taking more out of the account than the business reliably produces, the A plus rating and the empty complaint file are not the relevant facts. What matters is the balance still outstanding, the real cost of the deal in dollars and as a rate, what your reconciliation clause lets you request, whether you signed a personal guaranty, and whether you received the disclosures your state requires. Those are the facts a negotiation is built on. Business Debt Adjusters reviews the agreement, the payment history and the bank activity together and tells you plainly whether a settlement is realistic before any funder is contacted.
